SCIENCE MUSEUM THEATERSFrom 1996 to 2001, Lightspeed provided 3D educational programs and display technologies to roughly a dozen publicly funded museums and science centers around North America. These unique theater presentations not only revitalized existing theaters, as with the Franklin Institute in Pennsylvania, but were also a featured attraction in new facilities at COSI Columbus, Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana, and the Science Museum of Minnesota. In addition to five general topic shows, Lightspeed produced a custom 3D program for Liberty Science Center about tobacco awareness. This presentation was funded by the Tobacco Education Initiative and sponsored by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) with money from the Master Settlement Agreement between the tobacco companies and 46 states. |
